A resource centre for contemporary art, the Artothèque de Caen has presented programmes of activities in the service of artistic creation and its dissemination since its founding in 1986: establishing a collection, lending works of art, on- and off-site exhibition programmes, artistic production, publishing catalogues and artistic multiples, and organising gatherings, public talks, artistic events and professional development activities.

The artist Barthélémy Toguo is invited by the Artothèque de Caen.
