George Dupin works on two fronts: on the one hand a photographic practice whose subject is the features of our globalised era; and on the other a reflection on the places and ways in which art is presented. Since 1996, his work has explored the contemporary mechanisms governing modern cities such as Dubai, Jerusalem, Beijing, São Paulo, Hérouville Saint-Clair and Marne-la-Vallée. Cities about which Sylvaine Bulle has written that there one “sees what history does to space… with the inscription of the most contemporary phenomena: globalisation, social fragmentation, war and crises”.
