Atlantik Kreise is an installation made up of two sculptures. Placed facing each other, the two containers speak to each other through a play of formal and material connections to examine the question of relations and sharing. The title of the work evokes the Atlantic, seen as a surface delineating continents and separating land masses while at the same time being itself a space of circulation and communication, a connection between two shores, between beings and things. Using a variety of tools (a scale, a trestle, a compass), Bock creates a mise en scène with an open-ended meaning in which she explores elements of the landscape: perspective, waiting, the horizon.
